As I moved towards developing my own company, I found myself lost because there as no where for me to talk, rant, or post about my ideas as myself. Everything on the company’s website needs to be professional, it needs to have a purpose, there is no point in writing a thousand words rambling about how much I hate a change that Google made to their layout because that serves no purpose for the company.
the name
It is my own name. Registered it all the way back in 2013 and I am going to keep it for the rest of time, unless I can somehow get my hands on wasiq.com 👀 Honestly think everyone should have a personal website. Sure, the age of blogs is now over and everyone is just tweeting their hearts out now. But there is a sense of freedom in having your own blog that simply cannot be replaced by anything else.
Oh! And not to mention that you can have a super fancy email address @yourname.com! Sadly your emails will end up in spam unless you start paying a premium for an email service first, definitely going to write another post when I go on a hunt for email services.
What’s stopping me from just using my company’s Google Workspace account and adding my own domain as an alias? 👀
the plan
This website will act as an archive, a place where I can post about ideas as I have them, somewhere that I can post about my current projects, without discrimination between my hobbies and my business. Almost all ventures that I will be starting in the near future will be under my company’s name anyway, but that does not mean I should stop being an individual.
For the time being, I will continue writing here, sprinkled some backdated posts in, even this one is being written in January of 2022. The point of doing this is not to deceive anyone, simply not a fan of five posts all published on the same day and besides, what if someone were to visit this site right now and not find anything at all, we can’t have that now can we.
